Martin O'Neill

Martin O’Neill is one of the world’s leading bodhrán players, celebrated for pushing the instrument to new heights.

Hailing from Scotland, he quickly rose through the traditional music scene, winning the All-Scotland, All-Britain, and All-Ireland bodhrán championships. In 2010 he was named Instrumentalist of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, cementing his reputation as a creative force.

His career has taken him worldwide — performing with legends like Stevie Wonder, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, and many more, while appearing on over 60 albums and numerous TV and radio broadcasts.

Though best known for bodhrán, he’s a versatile multi-instrumentalist, equally at home in folk, jazz, and cross-genre collaborations.

As an educator, he has led workshops and masterclasses internationally for nearly two decades, combining formal music training with a lifetime of stage experience.

Martin O'Neill has developed these wonderful signature tippers with Stevie Moises.

It’s the first hybrid serial stick series with handles that have an oval cross section! This makes it very comfortable to hold, and helps to keep the hand muscles relaxed.

All handles in the MONster series are made from plum tree, which is a wonderful red/brown European hardwood, and available from sustainable sources.
