Buzzer - Robbie Walsh Signature Series
Robbie Walsh
Robbie Walsh is a truly standout bodhrán talent from Dublin.
Raised in a richly musical environment and mentored by the legendary Noel Dowling, he developed a style marked by both versatility and power.
In 2008 he claimed the Dublin, Leinster, and All Ireland Senior Bodhrán Championship titles.
Over the years he’s toured globally — from the U.S. and Australia to Russia, the UAE, South Africa, and across Europe — collaborating with top acts and dance productions alike.
He’s appeared on over 25 albums alongside illustrious names like Donal Lunny, Michael McGoldrick, Seamus Begley, Alan Doherty, and many more.
Beyond performance, he founded The Bodhrán Buzz to spread knowledge of the instrument worldwide, and even led a Guinness World Record attempt featuring 1,052 bodhrán players.
Buzzer - Robbie Walsh Signature Series
The ‘Buzzer’ Signature Series was created in close collaboration with Robbie Walsh and Stevie Moises, designed exactly to Robbie's specifications.
During development, we decided to offer two distinct models: a lightweight tipper with a finer click, and a slightly heavier version for more volume.
Beyond these sound qualities, two unique features stand out:
first, the handle is flattened on one side to perfectly support Robbie’s playing style; second, the engraved graphic pattern—cut about 1 mm deep—makes the handle exceptionally slip-resistant.
The following Buzzer tippers are available:
- the Buzzer "light"
- the Buzzer "heavy"
